The brand spanking new field at N 9th Street and Kent Ave, blanketed with snow, awaits the promise of new life born by spring.
We won’t see green sprouts of grass growing on this new field as it’s evergreen colored astroturf! But the field will soon be bursting with the youthful energy of 100’s of kids running, kicking- playing SOCCER!
Yes, the Greenpoint/Williamsburg Youth Soccer league expands to the East River and is offering North Brooklyn and our Queens neighbors for the first time Spring Soccer League on Saturday mornings 9am-1pm from April 10th- June 19th.

It is really very exciting because we have been working for years, pushing and prodding the city to provide more open space to this under-served community.
We look forward for the league to be playing in the fresh breezes of the East River on a state of the art new field with fancy misters to cool sweaty brows!
