City of Water Day Low Tide Nature Discovery

Celebrate City of Water Day with Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park! Marine biologists from the Coastal Classroom will lead the community in workshops to discover and explore marine life at low tide on the Bushwick Inlet Park jetty. Participants will be learning about the ecosystems and wildlife living along the shoreline of the East River, resiliency, and restoration of original habitat.

The biologists will seine the shoreline for marine life. Participants 16 and older can assist them but must sign a waiver.

We will be practicing strict social distancing. Groups of 10 people at a time will be working with the scientists.

A face covering is required for each person.
