DESCRIPTION:Join Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park and Riverkeeper for a cleanup\, gardening\, mulching and fence re-lettering project at Bushwick Inlet Park on Saturday\, May 6\, 2017 for the 6th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep\, a day of service for the Hudson River. \nBushwick Inlet Park Dept of Parks building\, (86 Kent Avenue & North 9th Street\, Brooklyn\, NY 11249)\, where street parking will be available. We ask all Sweep volunteers to wear sturdy shoes or boots\, clothing that they can get dirty\, and to bring a hat\, sunscreen\, a reusable water bottle and snacks. This site is suitable for elementary-aged children with proper adult supervision. \nQuestions? On Wednesday\, April 19\, 2017 NYC Park Brooklyn Recreation will host an Open House for Artists & Arts Organizations at 6:30 p.m. at Bushwick Inlet Center. Artists will be able to tour the Center (which includes several multi-purpose rooms and outdoor spaces)\, receive information about partnerships and submission guidelines given to artists to submit by the above deadline. \nThis program is open to all Brooklyn artists and arts organizations.
