Come take in a skyline river sunset on the 86 Kent shoreline esplanade while absorbing great musical vibes from multiple genres. \nThe Jazz Foundation of America presents George Gray Jazz Coalition. \nA native of Baltimore\, drummer George Gray is held in high esteem for his time and versatility. Soon after earning a degree in music education at Morgan State University\, he was offered the drum chair in Pockets\, a major funk group produced by Verdine and Maurice White from Earth\, Wind & Fire. After three albums for Columbia with this group\, Gray went on to freelance with a long list of musical greats including Chuck Berry\, Gary Bartz\, Earth\, Wind & Fire\, Pharoah Sanders\, Abdullah Ibrahim\, Onaje Allan Gumbs and most recently\, the Sun Ra Arkestra. \nFriends of Bushwick Inlet Park is sponsored\, in part\, by the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs\, administered by Brooklyn Arts Council. \nA big thanks goes out this year’s sponsors & supporters: \n \n\n\n
