DESCRIPTION:Join Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park for fall infill planting\, mulching and weeding! \nLast spring FBIP community volunteers designed new gardens and planted over 500 new species and spent the summer weeding\, mulching and watering- \nNow we invite all garden lovers\, young and old to replace specimens that didn’t make it\, mulch our leafy friends that did and weed out over grown areas. \nEveryone welcome\, species information\, demonstrations\, gloves and tools provided! \nPut on in conjunction with Partnerships for Parks\, NYC Parks and North Brooklyn Parks Alliance. \nPlease register for free.

DESCRIPTION:North Brooklyn Parks Alliance in partnership with NYC Parks and Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park presents an afternoon of mayhem and mischief on Saturday\, October 26th at 11:00am on 50 Kent Ave\, Pop-Up Park at Bushwick Inlet Park! Join us! \nBring your halloween spirit for an afternoon of pumpkin decorating\, costume-making & parading\, and interactive performances and workshops\, including the highest form of musical entertainment by the Shinbone Alley Stilt Band; art-making workshops for kids by Eckford Street Studios; ghostly face painting by Smudge Pudge; spooky musical puppet theater by Fairy Tale Marionettes; large-scale games by NYC Parks & Recreation; and a special visit by the Urban Park Rangers. \nALL FREE!! \nThe festival continue at sundown (6PM) with an open-air screening of Tim Burton’s 1988 comedy-horror classic\, Beetlejuice! \n
