DESCRIPTION:Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park Seminar #2. \n“What Kind of Park?” Public Space for Public Good \nThe historical and future ecology of Bushwick Inlet Park and the Blue Zone. \nA look at climate change and the threats and present opportunities in adaptive mitigation infrastructure and park design opportunities. \nPresentation and panel discussion with Eric Sanderson PhD\, New York Botanical Garden Vice-President of Urban Conservation\, author of Mannahatta and co-creator of the Welikia Project. \nHe will be joined by panelists Dan Wiley\, District Director for Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez\, Kate Boicourt\, Director of Climate Resilient Coasts & Watersheds at the Environmental Defense Fund and moderator Dewey Thompson\, board member of FBIP and numerous local environmental organizations. \nThis event is generously supported by Mindspace and 25 Kent.
