June 16, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

As a follow-up to his FBIP webinar, mycology educator Luke Sarrantonio (webIG) will lead us through a hands-on workshop to discuss and demonstrate fungi’s role as decomposers.   Learn how to introduce mushroom mycelium (basically roots of the mushroom) and their many benefits in a garden. The fungus can break down wood chips to release nutrients for plants and produce mushrooms for years to come instead of adding other fertilizers.  Fungi are key players in the cycle of life, why not work with them?

Meet by the gardens just beyond the soccer field.

In the event of inclement weather, we will be under the canopy atop of the park building green roof.

Free registration required.
