FBIP Mission and Vision

Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park (FBIP) is a community-based advocacy organization dedicated to the development, stewardship, and programming of Bushwick Inlet Park, a resilient, world-class public park on the North Brooklyn waterfront.

Representing and advocating on behalf of the local community, FBIP works alongside the NYC Parks Department and North Brooklyn Parks Alliance in the development of Bushwick Inlet Park as well as being a source for activation, education and programming. The New York City park system relies on friends groups, conservancies and alliance groups for fundraising and supplemental maintenance and programming.

We are committed to sustainability by urging thoughtful forwarded thinking with regard to park design and with it environmental innovation. 

Parks are the great equalizer. Through our programming and work we strive to sustain the public open space that is Bushwick Inlet Park to be a welcoming environment for everyone.
