Please join Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park and our partners from the North Brooklyn Community Boathouse and the Billion Oyster Project for our next survey of our oyster restoration project in Bushwick Inlet.
In Bushwick Inlet lies 4 living docks and 16 Oyster Research Station (ORS) cages. The boat club will retrieve the cages, we will count and measure the oysters, see and engage with the other marine life cohabitating with the oysters and learn more about why oysters are so important to the East River ecosystem and why we support them!
We will be meeting at the East River waterfront in Bushwick Inlet Park. (Enter at 86 Kent Ave. [soccer field] and walk all the way back to the water.) Wear old clothes and plan to get a little dirty!
